A challenging ski mountaineering event is being held this Sunday at Bridger Bowl. Every year the Skin to Win Randonee Rally is hosted for randonnee skiers.

There are two divisions for competition. The Pro Division will climb or ski approximately 5,000 vertical feet and the Rec Division will concur 2,000 vertical feet.  All competitors must be 16 years or older to enter. There are a variety of age groups included: 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.

For those who are not familiar with randonee skiing, it's also known as Alpine Touring or AT. This form of skiing allows skiers to ascend the mountain under their own power through the use of specialized bindings and skins.

There is a cash prize for the top three finishers in both the Pro and Rec divisions for men and women. Also, there will be door prizes for participants.

If you are interested in competing or watching the competition see the course map below.
