If you saw sirens last night around the "M," here's what happened...

At around 6:30 p.m., the Gallatin County Search and Rescue responded to a call of a female who had fallen and had a seizure while hiking near the “M”.

Gallatin County Sheriff’s Deputies, approximately 35 Search and Rescue members, AMR, and the Bridger Canyon Fire Department responded to the call.

The female, a resident of Bozeman, was hiking the “M” with her two dogs when she fell and hit her head.

It is unclear if the seizure was a cause of the fall or if the fall was a result of the seizure. The victim was approximately 300 yards below the “M” on the “hard trail”.

She was taken to the trailhead, and then the hospital within an hour of responding to the call.

The dogs belonging to the female were scared and ran away from searchers as they tried to retrieve the dogs for the owner, but have been found and returned.
