The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southern Gallatin and Madison Counties through 5 p.m. Friday.

With this advisory we can expect:

  • 3 to 6 inches of snow possible
  • 9 inches of snow predicted for mountains
  • Slippery road conditions
  • Areas of blowing snow
  • Low visibility
  • Difficult travel especially for mountain passes

Most of the snow will be south of Bozeman. We're expected to get mostly a mix of rain and snow out of this storm. No major accumulation is expected in Bozeman.

The storm looks like it will move out before the MSU Bobcats face off against Austin Peay on Friday at 6 p.m. for a second home playoff game. Weather is predicted to be mostly cloudy for the game with temperatures in the 20's with breezy conditions.
