Winter Storm Warning Issued For SW Montana

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for upper elevations near the Bozeman area. The advisory is in effect for Madison and Gallatin Counties above 5,000 feet from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 6 p.m. on Wednesday. With this advisory we can expect:

Heavy snow above 5,000 feet
6 to 12 inches of accumulation for the mountains
Strong winds gusting up to 35 mph
Slippery road conditions
Low visibility
Difficult travel especially for mountain passes
Increased avalanche danger
