Montana’s Most Scenic Town? Which One Tops The List?

I think we can all agree that Montana is beautiful.

Where the agreement often stops is which part of Montana is the most beautiful. I'm a small town guy, one of the things that I really love about Montana are all the small towns that still have the charm. All across the country, small towns are going away, but Montana still has its fair share, and I for one, hope we always do.

There is just something about all the mom-and-pop shops located on Main Street that gets me. Whether its the town cafe, or drug store, or a barber shop, that type of home town charm is hard to find these days.

Which Montana town is the most scenic?

There are several Montana towns with amazing views, and many of those are the types of towns we're talking about. Small towns with lots of charm. For me, my favorite is Livingston. I absolutely love Livingston, and while it made the list of most scenic towns in Montana, it didn't take the Top Spot.

The folks over at US Uncovered decided to put together a list of the most scenic towns in Montana. In fact, they put together a Top 10 list. I won't list all 10, but I will put down a few and their ranking below.

• Libby 10th
• West Yellowstone 8th
• Ennis 6th
• Livingston 3rd
• Red Lodge 2nd

Ok, those are all scenic towns, I can get on board with that, but which town takes the top spot? Which Montana town is ranked 1st out of all the other towns on the list?

I'm sure it won't come as a huge surprise that Whitefish is on the list. Not only is it on the list, but it's the Top Spot. Whitefish gets lots of love from National Publications, but let's be honest, it's a charming town filled with friendly people, and it's scenic, so can you really argue it's placement on the list?
