We now have more info regarding the incident reported earlier today (Monday, July27) involving an attempted car robbery near MSU.

Just before 1pm on Monday, a man was found removing items from a truck on South 13th Street (700 block). The owner of the truck hit the male suspect in the face. The suspect responded by pulling a knife and cutting the owner of the truck in the face. He then fled the scene, running towards the campus.

MSU police issued an alert and attempted to find the suspect with the help of the Bozeman Police. The suspect has not been located. He is described as a white male in his 20’s with dark hair, a scruffy beard, black shirt and blue jeans.  He man have a broken or injured nose.
