When I was a kid, I couldn't wait to drive.

I often tell people that from 12 to 16 seemed like it took forever. I remember when I went to take the test and passed. My Dad gave me the old family truck. It was a 5-speed manual, and when I told him I didn't know how to drive a stick, he threw me the keys and said..."go learn".

I can't tell you how much money I spend on gas, but I can tell you that I became familiar with every back road in and around my hometown. I could drive you anywhere and get you there in 5 different ways.

Of course, it's been a few years since I turned 16, and vehicles have certainly changed. My first truck had an AM/FM Radio, and that was it. My current truck will drive for me when I get on the Interstate and has a screen that may be bigger than my first TV.
