Montana’s Weirdest Roadside Attractions
With the weather turning warmer, Montanans will be heading out to explore this great state of ours.
One of my favorite things to do in the nicer weather months is go road-tripping. Montana has tons of places to check out, from ghost towns to more metropolitan areas, Big Sky Country has a ton to do and see.
For those who will be traveling across the Treasure State, you should know that there are a few things on the stranger side that are certainly worth checking out. It seems that each state has its "strange" or "weird" roadside attractions. Texas has the Cadillac Ranch and the Beer Can House, Kansas is home to The World's Largest Ball of Twine, and South Dakota is home to Wall Drug.
So, what about Montana? What is the "strangest" or "weirdest" roadside attraction in the Last Best Place?

According to one source, the strangest roadside attraction in Montana is also one of the most popular. Located in the city of Cut Bank is a statue that certainly has become something of Montana folklore. Of course, we're talking about the famous Penguin Statue that welcomes folks to Cut Bank.
The statue was built back in 1989 and is 27 feet tall and weighs 5 tons. It's probably safe to say that it's the biggest statue of a penguin in the country and certainly has become worthy of thousands of selfies over the years.
While the Penguin Statue might be the most famous Montana roadside attraction, it's certainly not the only one.
Located in Joliet, Montana, there's the "Pathway Through The Bible", which is a lesson in the Bible...in a rock garden.
The attraction is open 7 days a week and for those looking to learn something new, or maybe seek a little spirituallty, it's certainly a spot worth checking out.
One of the most historic towns in Montana is Butte, and when it comes to roadside attractions, Butte doesn't disappoint. Not only is there the Berkeley Pitt, but there's also Our Lady of the Rockies.
