The Howe Ride Fire in Glacier National Park has grown to over 2,600 acres. The fire continues to burn in the area northwest of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, approximately 9 miles from West Glacier. The fire has been growing rapidly since in began on August 11.

Evactuations were ordered Sunday evening for North Lake Mcdonald Road, The Lake Mcdonald Lodge Complex, Sprague Creek, Avalanche Campground, and Going-to-the-sun Road.
