As of Sunday afternoon, the fire burning south of Browning in northern Montana (Spotted Eagle Fire - Family Peak Complex Wildfire) has grown significantly and is not yet contained in any measurable amount. We've got the latest from the Lewis & Clark National Forest:
Reports from the Park County Commissioner, Randy Taylor, tell that the fire is visibly put out but monitoring and surveying will continue throughout the day. Nearly 30 homes were evacuated and the officials are requesting them to not yet return to their homes. More details inside.
The Gallatin County Commission has issued a resolution declaring Gallatin County to have Stage One Fire Restrictions. This means you can not conduct any activities that may cause fires which includes Fireworks. During the 4th of July, this ban will be lifted unless conditions change. It's important to note that cities can still declare their own restrictions.

An evacuation order has been issued from the vicinity of Pony down to the Judson Mead Indiana University Research Station at the junction of South Boulder Road and Carmichael Road.
