This One Hand Gesture Can Make Or Break A Montanans Day
As I drive through the ice/snow-packed side streets of Bozeman, I realize that there is only one thing that makes this ok, in my mind.
You know the streets I am talking about, the ones where you are unsure if you are going to hit the side mirrors of the vehicles parked on the sides. Mind you that these are two-lane roads but they are just so snow-packed that you hold your breath while passing through.
The only thing that makes me not want to rip my hair out while driving down these roads is if the person coming towards me gives me the "thank you wave" as they pass by or allow me to go first.
It's the ones that see you coming first, don't stop or pull over, and think that by some miracle, they will fit through the tiny tunnel of a road at the same time as you; THEN they act like you were in their way.
NEWSFLASH, whoever was first to the road goes first, and you wait. The only exception in my brain is if the road has an area where you can pull off to the side and allow the other vehicle to pass through.
If you are the person driving this road, and someone lets you go first, all I ask is that you give them the dang "thank you" wave in return. TRUST ME, this is one way to save you from getting flipped the bird for your ridiculous behavior.
