With hundreds of thousands of tourists visiting our beloved Montana over the next few months, they'll want to know all sorts of things. By nature, tourists are curious creatures and there will no doubt be several questions asked regarding the area and the history of it.

What does Montana offer?

Montana is famous for several things, but one of our biggest claims to fame is our National Parks. While we're known for Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, Montana is home to 9 different National Parks and over 50 State Parks.

Mining was once big business in Montana and while mining still takes place, it's not like the old days. However, for those looking to relieve what it was like to be a miner a hundred or so years ago, places like Nevada City and Phillipsburg offer folks a chance to do a little mining on their own.

If you love the outdoors you'll find something to enjoy in Montana. With outdoor activities all year, there is always something to do outside in Montana. Camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing, or spending time on the water are all popular and are enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

Another thing we Montanans enjoy is food. We might not be the most populated state in the country, but we have tons of different options when it comes to cuisine. From greasy spoons to 5-star fancy, we've got it all in Big Sky Country.

Montana also has several museums worth checking out, including the crown jewel the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. We also have a fantastic live music scene with everything from Honky Tonk to cool Jazz.
