Fire resources continue to work diligently on the Millie Fire to keep the fire within the established perimeter; with the objective to keep the fire south and west of Cottonwood Creek. Helicopters will continue to work in areas where the use of ground resources are unsafe; at other times assisting firefighters when needed...

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office has had numerous discussions with the United States Forest Service, and as a result of those discussions, they believe it is appropriate to lift all Evacuation Warnings pertaining to the Millie Fire.

The Millie Fire is now 45 percent contained and remains at 10,205 acres. Firefighters continued their efforts today securing existing containment lines and doing so during today’s strong winds.

The Millie Fire, twenty miles south of Bozeman is 10,186 acres and remains 10 percent contained.

The Pine Creek Fire is now at 7800 acres and is 40% contained.

The Sheriff’s Office has received information that there may be confusion about  fire evacuations on the Millie Fire.

The Millie fire is at 9500 acres, and officials have set a containment date of  Thursday, November 1st. Crews will continue to anchor and flank the east and west end.  They will check fire spread, using air support to keep fire out of northeast drainages. ...

The Millie Fire, burning about 20 miles south of Bozeman on the Gallatin National Forest, is estimated to be 9,500 acres with 0 percent containment.

Pine Creek Fire is now at 12,000 acres.  At least 5 homes and several outbuildings have been confirmed lost. Evacuations and Closures: East River Road is closed from the junction with highway 89 at the north end, to south of Pine Creek Campground Road...

The lightning caused Mille Fire, burning 20 miles south/southwest of Bozeman, in the Storm Castle Creek drainage on the Gallatin National Forest, is about three miles east of Rat Lake near the Blanchard inholding.
