There was a massive fire last night at the Country Mall Antiques on Huffine Lane. It started as a vehicle fire that quickly spread to the building. People reported seeing large flames and lots of smoke. Here's the press release from the Gallatin Media Center.

The National Forest Service has issued an update tonight on area wildfires. With prolonged hot weather and not very much rain, fire danger remains moderate to high in our area.
After two wildland fires in the Fort Ellis Fire Service Area in the past week, fire officials are urging residents to be more aware of the potential for fires to start and spread rapidly. According to Mike Cech, Chief of the Fort Ellis Fire Department, it is common to have wildland fires in the early spring.
