Sweet Smoke! Montana Pitmaster Classic is Coming to Bozeman
Growing up outside of Kansas City Missouri, there are a couple of things that I'm pretty passionate about. Kansas City Chiefs Football and World Class Bar B Q.
Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Burnt Ends, there isn't much that doesn't taste fantastic after you've smoked it for a few hours and lathered it up in some bar b q sauce.
So, imagine my excitement when I found out about the Montana Pitmaster Classic! This is a KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) sanctioned competition, and if you aren't familiar with BBQ events, that makes it a big deal.
Competitors from all over the Northwest and Canada will be coming to Bozeman for the Montana Pitmaster Classic. The MPC will take place on August 27th at Kenyon Noble Lumber and Hardware.
Both amateur and professional teams and individuals will be competing for the Montana State Championship of BBQ, with a large percentage of all the proceeds of the MPC going to Gallatin Valley YMCA.
The Gallatin Valley YMCA offers programs for all ages and was founded back in 2000 by a group of local individuals that wanted to help the youth of Bozeman.
Everyone is welcome to come out to the Montana Pitmaster Classic, including families. Many of the teams will be serving up some of their delicious creations, so, if you love bar b q, this is your chance to experience some of the very best that the region has to offer.
So, if you love Bar B Q, I will see you there!
