On Saturday September 1, 2018, KJ Hunter was involved in a shop accident while working on his #68 Modified racecar. He has been hospitalized since then, and was flown to Seattle on the 4th. He is still in serious but stable condition.

KJ is a frequent racer at the Gallatin Speedway and is well-known throughout the Montana racing community. This weekend, Sept 7th & 8th, during the Super Nationals at Gallatin Speedway, there will be several ways you can support KJ Hunter and help with his mounting medical bills. For sale will be special:

You are also encouraged to wear your Blue and Gold to the races this weekend to show your support. Small Blue and Gold ribbons will be available at the souvenir stand free of charge.

There will also be a benefit dinner and live auction on October 6th in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion at Deer Lodge Fair Grounds. Social begins at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. Food is provided by Gordy Pearson. He will BBQ 2 pigs with all the fixings. There will also be a live auction, music, and entertainment.
