Growing up in a German family, church was a big deal. I remember trying to decide whether to stand, sit, or kneel. Most of the time, I just watched the people around me and did what they did. While it's certainly up for debate, I don't think it will come as a huge shock that the most beautiful church in Montana is located in Helena. The Cathedral of St. Helena. The history of the church is a rich one, and the building was inspired by the Votivkirche of Vienna.

If you've never been inside, tours are available. According to their website, you can tour the building with parties of 10 or more on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 1 and 3 pm. For those with parties under 10, you can tour the building when Mass or other activities aren't taking place.
