One Of America’s Most Remote Areas Is Located In Montana
When it comes to exploration, it's a given that most of the world has been discovered.
Nowadays, it seems scientists and folks who explore for a living are more focused on outer space or the bottom of the ocean; however, there are still plenty of places around the world that very few people have seen, and one of them is here in Montana.
Montana is a massive state with millions of acres of mountains, prairies, lakes, rivers, and forests. Underneath its surface lie the bones of dinosaurs, inside its forests are some of the fiercest animals known to man, but we know all that, right?

I mean, is there really any place in Montana that is so remote that most people have no idea what it's all about? Actually, there is.
Located in the western part of the state is an area of land that has been designated by the United States Congress. It's over 1 million acres, and there are no roads leading in or out. It's home to several dangerous animals, including the largest number of grizzly bears outside of Yellowstone and Alaska.
Montana's most dangerous wilderness area
Of course, we're talking about the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area, or as locals like to call it, "The Bob".
Listed on "The Most Remote Places Left In America", the Bob has quite the history. First, it is named after Bob Marshall, who worked for the Government and was an avid outdoorsman. Second, it's the 5th largest wilderness area in the lower 48. Finally, not only is it filled with creatures that will kill you, but it is also home to one of the most unique natural wonders in the world.
The Chinese Wall.
The Chinese Wall is a natural rock formation that looks like a wall and goes for over 22 miles. At right around 1000 feet high, it is breathtaking and something the majority of the world and Montanans will never see in person.
While the Bob is open to the public for fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping, you should know that it is not a place for a novice. The only access to the area is either on foot or horseback. Even bicycles are not allowed. It's home to predators, extreme weather, and rugged terrain, oh, and there's also no cell service in most of the area.
Then, of course, there are the tales of those who went in and didn't come out. The Bob is a very unforgiving place, and people have been lost only to never be seen again, or their remains found at a later date.
