‘Snow flurries’ fell from the ‘sky’ in the Bridgestone Arena as the three Rascal Flatts wise guys — err, men (in host Jennifer Nettles’ words) — delivered a soft and sweet version of the classic, ‘White Christmas’ during the ‘CMA Country Christmas’ special.

Joe Don Rooney, Jay DeMarcus and Gary LeVox each took their places at the three microphones lined up center stage, surrounded by beautiful lit trees and a completely silent live audience as they so soothingly belted out the lines to the Christmas staple.

Prior to their performance, each of the Flatts guys sat cozy on a couch with their families to talk about the upcoming holiday season, and DeMarcus even reflected on the greatest gift he got this year — his infant daughter, Madeline. The singer explained, “I think this Christmas is going to be really extra special for us, because we get to start our family traditions, which is great.”

Unfortunately, much to Rooney’s dismay, his wife Tiffany revealed that one of their standing family traditions is to dress up in matching pajamas with their two young kids, which the guitarist remarked makes him look like a “giant candy cane.”
