Skiers and snowboarders are going to have to wait a little longer before they can hit the slopes at Bridger Bowl.

Last week, Bridger Bowl released a statement saying that opening day would be delayed. Originally, Bridger Bowl hoped to have enough snow to open on December 10, but the date had to be changed due to a lack of snow and unsafe conditions on the mountain.

At the time, Bridger Bowl said it would monitor conditions and hoped to open by Friday, December 17. Now, the date has been pushed back once again. On Wednesday, Bridger Bowl announced that opening day will be Tuesday, December 21.

Unfortunately, the recent snowstorm didn't drop enough snow for Bridger Bowl to safely open on Friday, forcing the ski area to delay opening day for a few more days. According to the statement, Bozeman actually received more snow than Brider Bowl.

Lifts won't be spinning until next Tuesday, but the following limited services will be available Saturday and Sunday, December 18 & 19 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Uphill travel will be prohibited after sundown on Sunday, Dec 19.
