One Of Bozeman’s Favorite Events Will Be Part Of Reality Show
One of Bozeman's favorite events just got a little more star power.
This weekend is the 2022 Montana Pitmaster Classic over at Kenyon Noble. The event runs Friday night and Saturday afternoon and is fun for everyone. With 25 teams from all over the country, you're bound to find something that will tantalize your tastebuds.
Friday night from 5 pm until 8 pm is Bozeman's BBQ and Blues Night where folks can go and sample some incredible dishes. Saturday is the BBQ Cook-Off Competition from 1 pm until 4 pm as the teams battle it out to win the Montana BBQ State Championship.
The event, which helps out the Gallatin Valley YMCA is always well attended, however, this year there's a brand new twist.
Film crews will be on hand this Saturday as they record for the BBQ-based reality show called BBQ Heroes. The show will be filming its pilot at this year's Montana Pitmaster Classic and focuses on local BBQ folks that are heroes to their community. In a press release talking about the show, this is what they had to say:
"Teachers, Public Workers, Nurses, Social Workers, any and all Heroes, we will tell their story. Witness their passion, cheer for them as they compete, and be inspired by their mission. BBQ Heroes is the show that gives back and celebrates the amazing organizations they represent. It's about family, community, and the love and passion for BBQ."
The show will not only highlight the competition but also will focus on two local non-profits here in Gallatin County. So, BBQ, local heroes, and helping out a good cause? Sounds like a show I would most definitely watch.
