We hear about them all the time, now you can get to know them, and see their new facility!

Next Wednesday, September 26,  4:00 p.m., there will be an open house at the new Search and Rescue facility in West Yellowstone.

The grand opening/tours will be followed by remarks from several dignitaries, with a Search and Rescue Advisory Board meeting will be held after the festivities.

The Search and Rescue Building is the last of 3 facilities built to house Montana’s busiest SAR teams.

There are facilities in Bozeman, Big Sky and now West Yellowstone.

Search and Rescue is a volunteer force of the Sheriff’s Office.  It responds to an average of 100 calls per year.

The building is located at 416 Yellowstone Ave.
