My First Time Meeting Dustin Lynch

While in Kansas City, I had the awesome opportunity to meet many country artists. One of my more odd interactions came when I met Dustin Lynch.

Dustin Lynch was scheduled to hold a private event for my old station in Kansas City. It was an album preview party. He talked about his new album at the time, played a couple of songs from the CD (he didn't actually perform, just played them over the stern system), and took photos with everyone in attendance.

Here is where the story takes a weird turn. On his way to the private event, his bus broke down on the side of the interstate. He broke down about 15 minutes from the venue. My co-worker Roger and I got the call that we had to pick up him and his band members. So we loaded into his SUV and started to look for the bus. After about 20 minutes, we found the broken down bus. Dustin and his crew filed into the SUV and we took him to the venue.

The event was a success, and I was even able to snap a selfie with him after the event.

I thought that would be a fun story to share since Dustin will be with Luke Bryan and Little Big Town this Friday and Saturday at The Brick.
