One of the great things about living in Montana is that no matter the season, the scenery is stunning.

For many born here, the mountains are not only something to enjoy and explore, they also provide the timber needed to stay warm in the winter and the wild game to keep the freezer full.

Here in Montana, we have lots of mountain towns, but a couple in particular are receiving high praise from one publication.

The folks over at Outside Online decided to put together a list of the 24 Best Mountain Towns in the United States and it just so happens that Montana made the list...twice, and one of those towns made the Top 10.

Which Montana towns made the Top 24?

First up on the list is the town of Whitefish. Whitefish took the 12th spot on the list, just missing making the Top 10. Whitefish is a popular attraction for locals and tourists, and has been voted the friendliest town in America by other publications.

Whitefish is a town that offers plenty to do, which much of that being outdoors.

So which Montana town made the Top 10? Big Sky? Missoula? Red Lodge? No, no, and no. The Montana town that made the Top 10 is none other than Bozeman coming at the 8th spot.

So, what makes Bozeman so great? According to the publication, a little bit of everything. There is biking, fishing, floating, skiing, exploring, and the town is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Yellowstone National Park.  Plus, with Bozeman/Yellowstone International Airport, it's easy to get in and out of.
