One of the many things I love about Montana is the small-town charm you will find across the state. No matter where you travel in Big Sky Country, you're bound to drive through a small town with a big amount of charm.

In some towns, it's almost like a time machine. What I mean by that, is as you drive down the main drag, you can see stores that have been part of life for decades, and with a good number of them still in business.
As someone who grew up in a small to medium-sized town, I know the impact it can have on your life. It's part of who you are, part of your roots and those roots go deep.
These are the places that still have traditions. These are the places where neighbors know each other by name and get each other's mail when they're out of town. These are the places that while they might not change all the much, that's a good thing because they hold on to what's important.
From parades to ice cream socials down at the church to fireworks on the 4th of July, it's good to know that Americana is still alive and well. Luckily for us, Montana is one of the few states that still have quite a few of these towns and while they may not be your cup of tea all the time, they're certainly worth a visit.
