One of the best excuses in the world is "Well, I was in college."

College is that magical time when you learn new things, make new mistakes, and if you're lucky, remember most of it when it's all said and done. Here in Montana, we have a few "College Towns" with Bozeman and Missoula being the biggest. However, we can't leave out places like Billings, Butte, and Helena.

I've had the privilege of living in a few college towns, so my question is, what makes a great college town? Is it the students? The activities? The sports teams? The social scene?

Truthfully, it's a mixture of all of the above, and when it comes to Montana's college towns, one of them has been named not only the best college town in the state, but in America.
