Montana Ranks Near The Top For Nursing Opportunities
Hopefully, (knock on wood) you won't have to spend too much time with medical professionals, but for those of us that do, I ran across something interesting.

According to WalletHub, Montana is one of the best states for those in the nursing profession. The Treasure State ranked 8th on the list and while some of our rankings were below average, it seems that we really shine when it comes to opportunity where we rank 2nd overall.
Why is Montana a great place for nurses?
For those who are wondering what "opportunity" might mean, it was broken down into a few different categories.
- Monthly Starting Salary
- Average Annual Salary
- Health Care Faculties Per Capita
- Nursing School Programs
There were more, but you get the picture, Montana is a good place to be a nurse according to the statistics.
Oh, and then there is the fact that the medical industry happens to be one of the fastest growing industries in the country, and for those who are looking for job security, nursing is an excellent way to make sure you stay employed, no matter the economy.
