Red Lodge comes in at 9th place for the most affordable mountain towns in America. The charming town of around 3000 residents is known for its beautiful scenery, charming downtown, and proximity to skiing and the legendary Beartooth Highway.
According to House Beautiful, the average home price in Red Lodge is just under half a million dollars, which compared to other mountain towns is a bargain.
While it's true, that you can find some homes in that price range, keep in mind, that many of the homes in the area are priced much higher. If you're planning to live in the mountains, it's going to cost you a considerable amount more than half a million.
