The Dog Breeds That Best Represent These Popular Montana Towns
Montana is dog country.
Whether it's for work, play, or both, dogs are a big deal here in The Treasure State. While many are used for hunting or herding, others are just simply our companions. A buddy to go on a walk or hike with, someone to play fetch with, or just a cuddle buddy when you need a friend.
While you'll find many different breeds across Big Sky Country, you'll also find that the majority of the homes here have a four-legged family member as well.
A recent study put Montana at the top of the list when it came to dog ownership and that's not a surprise. Many of us prefer dogs to people (I know I do) and while they might not talk back, we're convinced that they understand us and listen to everything we say.

While certain breeds are more popular than others across the state, we thought it would be interesting to see which breed best represents certain Montana towns. For instance, which dog best represents Billings? Or how about Missoula?
With that being said, we took the time to do some serious research and come up with a list of dog breeds that are the best representation of a Montana town. In other words, if these Montana towns were dogs, which breed would they be?
As you can imagine, this was no easy task, however, the list has been completed and you can find it below.
