Montana’s Favorite Christmas Cookie Revealed…

If you're anything like me, you can't get enough of the season. From the lights to the music to the movies, I'm all about Christmas. One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the food.
As a fat guy, I like food no matter the time of year, but it seems like during the holidays there's a little more forgiveness when it comes to indulging in all of those delicious treats. It seems we all have our favorites.
For me, it's homemade peanut butter fudge and those little peanut butter cookies with the Hershey Kiss in the middle, although I'm not likely to turn down any Christmas goodie. What about the rest of Montana? When it comes to the all-important "Christmas Cookie" which cookie do Montanans prefer?
What is Montana's favorite Christmas Cookie?
According to Google, each state has its favorite and for Montana, that favorite would be Peppermint Christmas Cookie. Now, you might be asking yourself what exactly is a Peppermint Christmas Cookie?
While it doesn't go into specifics, we know it's a cookie and it tastes like peppermint.
I realize that might not help much and sadly, I don't have a recipe to pass along, but I've had a few peppermint cookies over the years and one of my favorites is the chocolate cookie with the crushed-up Candy Canes in it.
Oh and in case you are curious, are neighbors over in Idaho went with Italian Christmas Cookies, North Dakota landed on Sugar Cookies and the folks in South Dakota voted in Peanut Butter Blossoms. What about Wyoming? Well, they agreed with us and went with the peppermint.
