According to research from Intoxistates, the country with the most excessive drinkers in the state AND the nation happens to be Gallatin County. So, what percentage of Gallatin Country residents drink excessively? According to the report, that number is almost 30 percent.

The actual number is 26.8 percent and just in case you were wondering, the rest of the state comes in at 24.4 percent.

It probably won't come as a big shock to many, figuring that Montana usually has one or two cities that make "The Drunkest Towns In America" list. However, according to the list, Missoula is the drunkest city in Montana. (No offense to Butte). But when it comes to the booziest counties, well, Gallatin is the winner not only in Montana but in America as well.
