It's not a big secret that folks in Montana enjoy a drink or two.

Speaking of things not to be proud of, it seems Montana has made the news again when it comes to our love of booze and binge drinking. Not only does Montana rank first when it comes to death by DUI, but it seems that The Treasure State has made another list as well and this one is just as alarming.
Origins Recovery Center decided to look at data from the CDC and Mental Health America to look into different states drinking habits and what they came across for Montana should raise an eyebrow or two.
The research shows that Montanans like to drink and they're likely to show up hungover to work the next day. Yep, you read that right.
The only state that has a higher percentage of folks showing up hungover is our neighbors to the east over in North Dakota. (Having lived in North Dakota for multiple years, this isn't surprising at all)
How bad is Montana's drinking problem?
The data says that almost a quarter of the state's population (23.4 percent) admits to overconsuming weekly, not only that, but 19 percent of the population admit that they have a substance abuse problem.
