Montana’s Best Barbecue Spot Makes National List
Barbecue is one of my favorite things.
I love to cook it, I love to eat it, and I love talking about it. I was born and raised just outside of the Barbecue Capitol, Kansas City. I've lived in Florida, and I've lived in Texas, so I know all of the different styles. You have the molasses based sauce, the mustard and vinegar based sauces, then you have the sauce on the side.

I'm a big fan of Follow Yer Nose down in Emigrant, but I also enjoy both Bourbon and Yellow House here in Bozeman. For me, it's not just about the barbecue, it's also about the sides. So, the question is, where can you find the best barbecue in Montana?
Where's the best barbeque in Montana?
When you ask a question like this, you're going to get a lot of answers and I get it. We all have our favorites and to be honest, it really depends on what you're ordering. Taking the crown as the best barbecue in Big Sky Country is the legendary Notorious P.I.G. in Missoula. The joint landed 26th on the list and has a huge legion of fans all across the Treasure State.
The P.I.G. offers a wide variety of menu items, but you should know that they only cook so much, so when everything is gone, they close down and go home. You can get meat by the pound, ribs, and sandwiches, plus they offer combo plates which allow you to try a couple different things.
With roots in St. Louis, you should know that the restaurant doesn't just stick to one region when it comes to cooking. Oh, and they offer multiple types of sauces so that you can find something to sink your teeth into.

They have two locations in Missoula and they're closed on Mondays.
