Famous actors, actresses, musicians, you name it, being in Montana is nothing new. They’re a dime a dozen around here. They come here to enjoy Big Sky Country for their vaca's and disappear into their mountain homes. And let’s be honest, one of those major hot spots is obviously the Yellowstone Club. You know, the private playground for the rich and famous.

But what is a little rare? When one of those stars is actually from Montana. That narrows the field down quite a bit. And in this case, the newest Netflix hit has a surprising Montana connection.

If you haven’t heard yet, there’s a new Netflix series called Monster: The Ed Gein Story, and it’s one of the most-watched shows right now, breaking records just in time for spooky season. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s dark, disturbing, and totally binge-worthy. (I’m not saying I watched the whole thing in just a few nightsbut I did.)

Here’s the cool part. Suzanna Son, who plays Adeline Watkins, that has a complicated relationship with Ed Gein in the series is actually from right here in Montana. She was born in Hamilton, Montana, before later moving to rural Washington. Then she attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle before diving into acting full-time.

"Adeline, a young woman who feels as trapped as Ed does, is his only companion on the cold wastes of Plainfield." - Netflix

Montana's Favorite Must See Pumpkin Patches.

Sweater weather is just around the corner...hopefully. These hot summer days are getting to be a bit much if I am being honest! I mean football shouldn't be going on with 100 degree temps in the background. It's time for chili, oversized sweaters, pumpkin spice (yes I said it) and of course...pumpkin patches.

If you are new to the state, you will learn that pumpkins don't necessarily grow the best here. We have unpredictable weather. Sometimes a very long winter and sometimes a hot dry summer (like this year). Pumpkins need to have at least 6 hours of direct sun light along with good soil and lots of water.

Finding a pumpkin patch for you or the kiddos in Montana is a bit of a struggle. Luckily, here are three that you should definitely try out. Just make sure to call in advance so you can plan the perfect pumpkin picking date.
