Okay, not Moe from the Simpsons, really…but apparently comedian Rich Hall is the inspiration for the Simpsons character Moe, the gruff bartender who never really has much luck. I had no idea! Hall will be hosting ASPEN’s 2nd Annual “Laugh Out Livingston” (LOL) this Saturday, July 15th at The ATTIC in Livingston.

Hall goes back to David Letterman days, the show Fridays, Saturday Night Live (the only comedian to be on both Fridays and SNL), and Not Necessarily the News (remember Sniglets?—words that aren’t in the dictionary but should be—one of my favorites is Flopcorn: the unpopped kernels left in a bag of microwave popcorn). He is also a musician who performs under his alter-ego Otis Lee Crenshaw, a country singer who has been convicted many times.

It’s an adult-only show starring Hall and local comedians Mike Waldron and Rob Bankston. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person in advance and $50 at the door, call ASPEN at 222-5902, stop by Whiskey Creek Saloon, or visit https://events.ticketprinting.com/event/23658. Thanks to The ATTIC owners, Annette Burns and Geoff Harvey, and Rich Hall, 100% of proceeds will benefit ASPEN.

In the past year, ASPEN provided nearly 2,500 individual services to victims and their families, including crisis intervention, court accompaniment, safety planning, help with orders of protection, and community outreach and educational programs.

ASPEN is at 320 North Main St., Livingston, MT and can be reached at 222-5902.  If you or someone you know needs assistance, the 24 hour support line is available at 222-8154.
