Actor With Montana Roots Embraces Fame To Help Others
The popularity of the show Yellowstone has turned into big business for not only Montana but the stars of the series.
As the original Yellowstone gets ready to enter the second part of its final season, there's no denying its impact on the state of Montana. According to a report from the University of Montana from 2023, the show is responsible for over 2 million visitors and over 700 million dollars in extra revenue.
You don't have to go very far to see products from the show. From branded clothing to canned chili, the show is everywhere.
I mentioned that the stars of the show are cashing in as well. Luke Grimes who plays Kayce Dutton, has used his fame from the show to venture into country music. However, the person who might be benefitting the most is actor Cole Hauser.

Hauser who plays Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone has taken the popularity of his character and turned it into a mini-empire. Hauser isn't from Montana but has ties to the state. His great-great Grandfather was Governor of the Montana Territory from 1885 to 1887.
Hauser, who has been acting for decades also seems to have a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit.
The actor has created two different brands that have been well-received, with one of them helping out first responders, teachers, military personnel, and medical professionals.
Hauser teamed with locals to create Lazy K Bar Whiskey out of Big Timber. However, that isn't the only beverage the actor is involved in. Hauser also has his own brand of coffee and while it isn't made in Montana, it does have Western roots.
The actor got the idea while working on set here in Montana. He wanted to create a coffee that was a tribute to the Cowboy life here in the West.
The Free Reign Coffee Company has several different blends and flavors and as mentioned offers a discount to those who serve others. However, the company also gives back with a percentage of each purchase going to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
I think it's cool when celebrities use their fame to benefit others, if it's a quality product, it's a win-win for everyone.
