Belgrade resident Joe Flynn, a former Marine, avid outdoorsman, and lifelong dog lover, has written a book about his miraculous black lab pup, Bubba.

Bubba was fully paralyzed from a unique stroke-like accident called Canine Fibrocartilage Embolism. The stroke left the 110-pound dog fully paralyzed at age 4 with less that a 1% chance of survival. The book shares Bubba's story, and it is Joe's hope that it will help raise awareness and inspire other pet owners to sometimes look outside the box when their pets incur serious physical ailments such as FCE, as well as other issues that can emerge, especially in large-breed dogs, where recovery is much rarer.

Bozeman’s Country Bookshelf will host Joe Flynn and The Miracle of Bubba for an author talk and book signing event on Saturday, July 27, from 4 – 5p.m. Enjoy refreshments and popular M Donut Factory donuts, while you hear from Joe himself talk about his book and Bubba.

This is a Free event and open to the public.
