Little Big Town will be receiving a big award from the Music Business Association this spring. The country quartet is the 2016 recipient of the organization's Artist of the Year Award.

“Little Big Town had an absolutely massive 2015 ...," says Music Biz President James Donio in a press release. “The group has been a staple in the country music scene for nearly two decades, racking up four No. 1 singles, two platinum albums, 14 major awards and a membership in the iconic and ultra-exclusive Grand Ole Opry. They have done impeccable work bringing country music into the mainstream and have more than earned this distinction.”

Little Big Town will receive the Artist of the Year Award at the 2016 Music Biz Awards Luncheon on May 18.

"We’ve been at it for a long time and have seen more than our share of successes, but 2015 definitely takes the cake," LBT's Karen Fairchild says. "Thanks to Music Biz for this recognition and, of course, all our fans for making it possible for us to do what we do.”

Also being honored with a 2016 Music Biz Award is Sam Hunt. The rising country star, along with Halsey, will be presented with a Breakthrough Artist Award at the luncheon.

Music Biz 2016 is scheduled to take place in Nashville on May 16-18.
