Parents, did you know that kids who read 100 or more books during the summer months retain their literacy skills when tested in the fall? It's true and that's why the Bozeman Public Schools, the Bozeman Schools Foundation, and the Bozeman Public Library are all teaming up for Read 100!

The program encourages students to read 100 books this summer. To help them, three Bozeman Public School libraries will be open:

  • Meadowlark
  • Hyalite
  • Emily Dickinson

The libraries will be open June 18th - August 15th, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-2pm.

Small incentives, including stickers and temporary tattoos will be offered to students at the libraries. The students, with the help of their families, will track the books they read and turn in a reading log at the end of the summer. Those who read 100 or more books will be recognized on a digital frame at their school for the entire school year.
