Getting a package delivered these days is a struggle. You never know if it's actually going to show up on time, or if it's going to reach the correct destination.
Montana's Big USPS Breakdown: What You Need to Know
We all know at least one person who has experienced a problem with mail delivery.

Recently, I had a really bad experience. I collect vinyl records, and had ordered a record from an online website. I live in Manhattan, so I don't have at-home mail delivery. Instead, everything gets sent to my P.O. Box.
To be clear, I'm talking about Manhattan, Montana, not Manhattan, New York.
I received an email a couple of days afterwards telling me that my package had been shipped. A few days later, I received another email that my package had arrived in Billings and was in transit.
I figured that meant it was on a truck heading towards Bozeman, but I was wrong.
It was shipped from Detroit and was sent to North Carolina and Utah before arriving in Billings. According to the tracking information, it was in transit from Billings for two days.
Next, I got an email saying my package was in Manhattan, NY. The next day, it was somewhere in New Jersey. My record was able to see more of the country than I ever have.
The fact that it arrived in Montana, and was sent to New York is a really head-scratcher. I thought that by 2025, we would have this kind of thing figured out.
My packed did finally show up, but it arrived two weeks late.
I'm not writing this to bash the USPS or its employees. I understand that many post offices are short-staffed and that employees are doing their best. Hopefully, they can get some things figured out and do better in the future.
