Yellowstone Sporting Goods Closing Permanently in Livingston
For more than two decades, Yellowstone Sporting Goods has been a cornerstone of the Livingston community. Sadly, Erica and the crew have announced that the store will close its doors permanently at the end of August, marking the end of an incredible 20-year run.
As the largest sporting goods store in Livingston, its closure is a massive blow to locals. Outdoorsmen and anglers who relied on its massive selection, often featuring hard-to-find items unavailable in Bozeman, will now be forced to drive over Bozeman Pass to stock up on gear.
For many of us who have spent countless days on the Yellowstone River, stopping by Yellowstone Sporting Goods for last-minute supplies was a mandatory ritual before hitting the water. Erica and her team have always provided exceptional, helpful service, making the community's loss feel deeply personal.
In a heartfelt farewell shared on social media, the team expressed their gratitude:
We are incredibly disappointed to see this chapter come to an end, but we're grateful for the amazing run we've had over the years. Thank you to all of our loyal customers, friends, and supporters... Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for the memories, friendships, and years of support.
While change is the only constant, losing such a vital local staple is tough. Customers still have time to stop in before the end of August to take advantage of their going-out-of-business sale and grab a few final items.
Be sure to stop by Yellowstone Sporting Goods this month to stock up and thank the staff for helping us gear up for the outdoors all these years.
