Everything You Need to Know About the 2026 MSU Spring Game
Fresh off a thrilling 35–34 overtime victory against Illinois State to win the 2025–26 FCS National Championship, the Montana State Bobcats are finally back on the field this weekend, and fans are eager to see the team back in action.
The annual Sonny Holland Spring Classic is set for Saturday, April 25, at Bobcat Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, offering the first look at the reigning national champions as they begin building toward another title run. The Spring Game will also be broadcast on 100.7 XL Country, the official flagship station of Montana State Athletics.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats 15 minutes before the game for a special Championship ring presentation.
Fans will get a glimpse of dynamic wide receiver Taco Dowler, along with starting quarterback Justin Lamson, giving an early preview of what the offense could look like heading into the new season.
If you’re planning to attend, be ready for classic Montana spring conditions. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 40s, so dressing in layers is a smart move if you want to stay comfortable throughout the game. A little cold weather has never stopped Bobcat fans from showing up in full force.
Nothing brings Bozeman together quite like Bobcat Football, and the passion from the fan base is as strong as anywhere in the country.
If you’ve got a free Saturday, make your way to Bobcat Stadium and show your support as the Cats take the field for one of the most highly anticipated spring events in Bozeman. We'll see you on Saturday. Go Cats!
