Incredibly Sad To See This Restaurant Close It's Doors

When I first heard about this closure, I couldn't believe it! I had to do some digging and find out if this rumor was actually true. And sadly, it is.

If you never got the chance to have dinner at Blacksmith Italian in Bozeman, you totally missed your chance to have some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Not only was the food incredibly good, the service was great and the atmosphere was one of a kind.

A unique location, slightly hidden off of Kagy, you could call Blacksmith Italian a "hidden gem".

According to Blacksmith's Instagram Page, the restaurant is now officially closed. With an explanation from the owner, you can see that some things don't always go as planned especially when it is a family owned restaurant.

It's sad to see new restaurants opening and closing shortly after. But it's even more sad to see these decades old restaurants shutting their doors. When the restaurants and businesses that have been around for generations are no longer going to be serving our community, it's heartbreaking.

There is another restaurant that had plans of opening, The Ugly Onion, a pizza joint over by Snowfill Dog Park, that apparently is not opening anymore. The building has been standing, practically complete for months, and now is going to be a what, another empty building?

I can't confirm what the reason is for some of these businesses not opening last minute, whether it's loss of funding, partner discrepancies, or a change of direction, but it seems like we are going to have a lot of empty buildings in the near future.
