Monday is the third straight day of high winds that the Bozeman area will experience. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning until 6 p.m. tonight for central, north central, southwest, and west central Montana areas.

Winds are expected to blow between 25 to 35 mph with gusts reaching 60 mph. According to the NWS winds could be strong enough to damage trees and property. Strong cross-winds could impact travel, especially for high-profile vehicles and those towing trailers.

The strongest winds will occur late on Monday morning. They are expected to decrease this evening but look for breezy to windy conditions to remain into Tuesday.  More strong and damaging winds are predicted to return on Tuesday evening into Wednesday as a weather front moves across the region.

through Tuesday. Another period of strong and potentially
damaging wind is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday as
another fast moving weather disturbance crosses the area.
