Go Cats Go! Who’s Ready For Some Montana State Football?
The MSU football schedule has been released, and the countdown is on. Soon it will be time to head over to Bobcat Stadium and cheer on our beloved Montana State Bobcats.
What's a better way to spend a Saturday in the fall in Bozeman than getting together with family and friends and tailgating before heading into the stadium to cheer on the Cats?
Plus, let's be honest, after a fantastic and unforgettable season last year, we're all ready to make another run at that National Championship Trophy. The players, coaches, and fans all tasted what it's like to play in the big game, and now we're hungry for more.
Brent Vigen enters his second year as the Cat's head coach after guiding them to a 12-3 record last year. Vigen also signed a contract extension during the off-season which has him in blue and gold at least through the 2025-2026 academic school year.
Throw in the fact that "Touchdown" Tommy Mellot returns for his sophomore year, and there is a whole lot to be excited about for all of us Bobcat fans. Mellot, who took over as the Bobcats went into last year's playoffs, electrified Bobcat Nation as he was calm and cool under the spotlight.
What will it look like to have him under center for an entire season? The Bobcat faithful can't wait to find out.
The first home game is against McNeese State with kick-off at 6 pm. Don't forget, if you can't make it to the game, you can always check out all the action on 100.7 XL Country, the official home of Bobcat Football.
