The 9th annual Get Poked For Caden Blood Drive is Wednesday, June 24th from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The blood drive will take place at the Commons at Baxter and Love.

This year as part of the blood drive staff and donors will be wearing masks and social distancing and sanitizing protocols will be adhered to.

Between April 2012 and July 2013, Caden received 35 transfusions of blood products as he battled stage IV, high-risk neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer. As a 3-year-old at diagnosis, Caden not-so-affectionately referred to the frequent needle sticks as "pokes."

On Sunday, Caden turns 12 years old! Blood donors sustained his life in a very tangible way 35 times, so how fitting that we celebrate his life with a blood drive.  And if you're scared, Caden will be there to cheer you on with his stuffed dog Slush! If he can be "poked" over 150 times, you can do it, too!

Walk-ins are welcome or you can make an appointment here.
