Gallatin County Sees Largest Spike in Montana Flu Cases
The Montana Department of Health & Human Services has released their latest report on flu cases in Montana, and Gallatin County leads the state. According to the report:
• Influenza activity increased during week 51 of 2019 with 198 new cases reported.
• Gallatin County reported 66 new cases as of December 21, 2019. That's double the closest other county which was Yellowstone County at 32 cases.
• Season to date, 480 cases, 19 hospitalizations, and zero deaths due to influenza have been reported. Thirty-eight counties have reported at least one case of influenza.
• The most common influenza subtype identified this week was influenza B.
