An earthquake was felt just before 6 p.m. Tuesday night in the Bozeman area. People on social media are posting that they felt the quake in Bozeman, Four Corners, Livingston, and Butte. Others are reporting that they felt the quake in Missoula and Kalispell.

The quake was originally registered as a 6.3 on the Richter Scale, but has since been upgraded to a 6.5. It was centered northeast of Boise, Idaho, about 60 miles in the Salmon-Challis National Forest.
