A middle-aged couple flipped their boat this past Saturday on the Gallatin River, according to the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office. Another party dialed 911 to report the accident, and members of the Gallatin County Search & Rescue were dispatched and quickly got the couple to safety.

The woman had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The incident occurred just north of Gateway South Road when they drifted under an overhanging tree branch that caught the side of the boat and flipped them. The couple then floated underneath the overturned raft for about a hundred yards before they were able to grab onto a log where they were rescued.
