City of Bozeman Asking Residents to Avoid City Buildings

The City of Bozeman is encouraging residents use online services rather than coming in person to city buildings. Worried about the increase in COVID-19 cases in Gallatin County, the City is hoping residents will use online and alternative services when possible.

According to a press release, the City's Finance Department will take payments on city assessments from property owners. Options for payment include:

• Putting your payment in the mail or a secure drop box at City Hall
• Pay online
• Pay over the phone

As a last resort, paying in person at City Hall in the Finance Department. For parking tickets, utility bills, pet licensing or liquor licensing, the City requests paying those online or over the phone.

City Manager Jeff Mihelich says, “Right now we must all do our part in reducing the spread of COVID-19. The City is proud to offer so many ways for residents to conduct their business. Making the choice to stay home or limit interactions in your daily tasks is best for keeping employees, and you, as safe as possible.”

Visit Bozeman.net (City's website) to find the department you need and explore what options are available to you. Many departments offer online, phone, or virtual options for conducting business or meeting with staff.

For people who do not have access to a phone, mobile services, or a computer, Bozeman city offices and buildings will still be open and available.

The Gallatin County Health Department is reporting 4,736 cases of the coronavirus here locally. Currently, 12 people are hospitalized and 13 people have died (nine over the age of 90).
